The Kern County 一般的援助 (GA) Program provides financial assistance to residents of Kern County who have no other means of support. Single adults and couples without minor children may be eligible. The 一般的援助 program provides minimal assistance with rent, 公用事业公司, transportation and personal needs.

一般的援助 applicants may also be eligible for CalFresh and/or 加州医保. If you have a long-term disability, you may be eligible for Supplemental Security Income (SSI). The Kern County Department of Human 服务 has a Disability Advocate program to assist GA applicants with the SSI process.

To apply for 一般的援助 please call or visit any of the offices below Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
